Time
for Tea
Sunday Times – Style 23 October 2005
There is something about the change of seasons that can make one
far too twitchy to sleep. If you have problems nodding off, give
up on the leaping sheep and try a tub of Sleepy Tea from Today Was
Fun – it deservedly won Best New Food Product at this year’s
Organic Industry Awards. Containing lemon balm, lime flowers and
lavender, Sleepy Tea is so soporific that I rarely get to the end
of the mug. The rainbow-coloured Teastack contains 20g of Sleepy
Tea, along with three other organic tisanes, Happiness, Inspiration
and Friendship.

High
Teas
Mail on Sunday
NIGHT&DAY Magazine July 3 2005
I don’t usually like food products that try to be clever and
funny, but the organic herbal teas from Tea and Philosophy get away
with it because the end result tastes so good. Choose from Happiness
(hibiscus, rosemary and cardamom), Friendship (marigold flower)
and Inspiration (lemongrass, orange and peppermint).

Perchance
to Dream
The Times – Saturday April 16 2005
Need a calming cuppa to help
you drift away but bored of camomile and don’t like Horlicks?
New Sleepy Tea could be the thing to send you off on a good night’s
slumber. Made entirely from organic lemon balm, lime flower and
lavender, this new blend from the Tea and Philosophy range has a
soothing scent and a subtle fresh taste that seems more natural
than many herbal teas. If the tea doesn’t lull you to sleep
with a smile on your face, the packet’s instructions to “put
your work and worries in a drawer” just might. Although at
£5 for 40g it is less good if those worries are financial.

Tea forTwo
Pregnancy and Birth Magazine
February 2005
P&B love organic Expectancy
Tea the packaging is lovely, the sentiments on the outside made
us smile. And the blend of raspberry leaf and peppermint tea is
delicious. Raspberry leaf tea isn't recommended until the third
trimester, but it may aid uterine contractions and help prepare
for labour if taken in the eight weeks before birth.

Food is fast overtaking fashion as a national trend-spotting obsession.
Go into any top store’s food hall and you’ll find specialist
brands and limited edition products whose rarity is creating a cult
following....Then start compiling festive foodie gift lists because
beautifully packaged, connoisseur groceries make not only the smartest
Christmas presents but also the trendiest dinner-party fairings.

Towering
Infusions
You Magazine Sunday Mail 17 July 2005
This is a tea caddy. Well, a tisane caddy. New-agey in the concept,
the names actually conceal nice loose-leaf organic mixes, including
a lemon balm, lime blossom and lavender ‘sleepy’ that
does promise a doze (and it’s just won best organic product
of 2005). But the ‘spoonful of this for a cup now; spoonful
of that for later’ stack of tins is a fun object we would
like on the desk.

Tea
Time
Junior Pregnancy & Baby May 2005
Imbibing raspberry leaf from 32 weeks of pregnancy is thought to
shorten labour and provide a rich source of iron, calcium and B
vitamins. Used for centuries for its medicinal properties, some
say it inhibits post-birth bleeding and promotes a plentiful supply
of breast milk. You can take raspberry leaf in tablet, tincture
or as a loose-leaf tea. Try Expectancy Tea £5 a delightful
blend of organic raspberry leaf and peppermint.
