Is Britain's love affair with the cuppa coming to an
end?
According to a Mintel report published last week
traditional tea sales have dropped 16% between 2002
and 2004 while Herbal and fruit tea sales have risen by
over
30% for the same period.
As we
launched Today was Fun back in 2002, we hope we're
a teenie bit responsible for educating people about a
healthier herbal tea option. Ms Ellen Shiels, senior
research analyst at Mintel said that "manufacturers
need to market tea as a fashionable drink, to maintain
the British tea drinking traddition."
We're currently doing everything we can to make
sure
Brits keep enjoying their cuppa. We're
just planning on it being fun, caffeine free and without
milk and
two sugars.
