250g organic lightly salted butter

150g organic
caster sugar

2 3/4 cups of plain organic flour

pinch of salt


1. Pre-heat your oven to 160 deg C.

2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

3. Sift the flour and salt into the buttery mix and gently work into a smooth dough. You might need to use your hands but don’t overwork the dough otherwise your cookies will be tough.

4. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it is approx 4mm thick.


5. Cut your cookies out with a heart shaped cookie cutter.
6. Place on an oven tray lined with baking parchment and sprinkle with a small amount of extra sugar.

7. Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly on the tray before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

8. Refill your Tea & cookies tin and enjoy with endless cups of Love Love tea.
