The first
week of October is International Older Peoples' Week and we're
celebrating the occasion by co-hosting 100 tea parties across
the UK.
On the 5th October we'll be sharing the Friendship
at a Tea Party at Harrow
School in North London. The event at Harrow
School will be the finale to a week of spectacular events all
over the country, which are being run by Superjam and Today
was Fun in conjuction with Waitrose, John Lewis and Contact The Elderly.
There'll be musical acts at the event to accompany the
click clacking of knitting needles.
Along with tea, scones and cake, everyone at the events
will be provided with wool and taught how to knit (if they
don't already know). We're hoping that everyone will knit a
square, we'll sew all of the squares together and produce
hundreds of blankets for an orphanage in Central India.
