Some commonly held Greek
supersitions are: Tuesdays that fall on the 13th of the
month are unlucky; if you sneeze it means that
someone is thinking of you and bat bones are
considered to be very lucky depending on
which island you grew up on.
Apart from their interesting superstitions they also
have great pastries and cakes. I enjoyed a
lesson in Greek delicacies last week when Stella and
Merope came to stay.
I had to halve this recipe when I wrote it up, but if
your
extended family is coming to visit then by all means
double up the mixture!
