It's a foggy African morning and we
are bumping along a dirt track in an open top
landrover on our way to find lions.
Zebras are bleeting warnings to each other in the
distance when we find three young males are eating
on a Wilderbeast carcass that hasn't been dead long.
We follow them for two hours as they fill their bellies
and head off to the waterhole for a drink. Then it's our
turn for a tea break.
Our guide Haydn assures us that it is safe to get out
of the vehicle for our cuppa and homemade cookies
but it takes some convincing. Little did we know that
the following morning we would discover another lion
kill five minutes up the road from where we stood!
