Hello,

the weather's going bonkers. We've enjoyed some of the heaviest snow across London in 18 years and Australia's having one of the hottest summers on record.

I'm not sure whether the victims of the Victorian bushfires know how many people are listening to their brave stories from all around the world. Every news update on our radio, tv and daily papers contain the most tragic and heroic tales of these Victorians who've lived through firery hell over the last few days. What a reminder to us all about the important things in life; love, family, friends and community. Our thoughts are with them all.

Tea carts are on standby ready to be sent off at a moments notice. Now that's what we call a real emergency service!

There's something for everyone in this movie from the BFI archives. Tea connoisseurs will benefit from the six golden tips for making the perfect cuppa, as well as countless other handy hints (never store your tea next to cheese, for example).

Linguists will marvel at the way they say "orf" rather than "off" and if you're someone who likes a man with eyebrows then we've got just the one!

And Finally a word from the President of the Tea World

My fellow Americans, today is a Fun day. You have shown the world that "hope" is not just another word for "herbal tea", and that "change" is not only something we can believe in again, but something we can actually drink.

Today we celebrate, but let there be no mistake - America faces difficult and tough challenges like never before. Our economy is far from green. Americans can barely afford their mortgages, let alone have enough money left over for posh teabags. Our healthcare system is broken. If your heart is sick and you don't have insurance, you might as well call a tealady. And America's image overseas is tarnished like a Grandma's silver sugar bowl. But drinking together we can right this ship, and set a course for London.

Finally, I must thank my incredible family, my fabulous campaign volunteers, but most of all, I want to thank Today was Fun for making this historic occasion possible. Of course, I must also thank you, President Bush, for years of misleading the American people. Without your misguided efforts, none of this would have been possible.

Some things in life just go together; roasted almonds and chocolate, pancakes with maple syrup and everything with caramel.

Here's our Valentine's Day recipe. I resisted getting out the heart shaped cookie cutters and ignored the un-seasonal strawberries in the supermarket.

It sorts itself out in the oven, the caramel layer just appears by magic, once cooked.

If you've got the time, give it a go, if you don't, try spreading a layer of peanut butter underneath a your Nutella on your bread next time you fancy being indulgent.
