| Hello,
We're all sailing headlong into unchartered waters this Christmas
but this soup has lots of ideas on how to get through the recession
this season. We figure it's time to be clever, work a little smarter
and be creative with what we have.
| Christmas gift buying |
 |
The word on the
street, and in the press, is that this season people
will be giving two types of gifts. Type A: something that can
be bought for £10 or under or Type B: something that you've
made yourself
Unless you could give Martha
Stewart a run for her money in the handicrafts
department, read on.
We think that our teas fit the Type A: gift description
perfectly. Gift Food is a safe bet for most people and when it
comes wrapped with a message about Love, Friendship
or Happiness who can resist?
So don't delay, we're sure you'll find a stockist close to
home and if not there's plenty of online guys just waiting to
deliver some tempting tea and goodies directly to your door.

| Your
stars |
 |
| We have
10 lovely teastars all packed up and ready to go out to the
people you nominated as stars in your life.
Mandy wrote ..."My star is my best friend (who also happens to be
my husband), while Ann thought it was about time to nominate
her 70 year old mother who she'd never nominated for anything.
Valerie nominated her friend Penny who she said was more
like a galaxy than just a star and Iris told us that her
friend Liz is a lovely lady, bubbly and full of fun - often
dissolves into unstoppable giggles and whenever we meet up we
always, always laugh about something.
There are two stars left so get writing and nominate your
star and we'll make sure they receive one in the post before
December 25th. |

This is
Joe. He makes sure that we've an endless supply of Happiness
in our warehouse and Love Love in our dispatches.
And this is what he'd look like if he'd graduated from
Junior High in 1976. Joe's actually a lot younger than this
but he's been playing on Yearbook Yourself.
If you want to take your mind off all this recession talk
then try this highly addictive website. All you need is a
photo of yourself and somewhere to laugh out loud.

Tea time
|
 |
I remember helping my mum bake these biscuits
when I had to stand on a chair to reach the kitchen bench.
There's something really old fashioned about making fork
marks in the dough and the robust proportion of these little
homemade biscuits.
Make a big jar of them as a gift or stack them up on a
plate for afternoon
tea. I guarantee they wont last long.
