Today was Fun has decided to float the company.

Summer is on it's way and the opportunity came along to move our premises to a boat, on the river Thames. We didnt think twice and moved aboard last Saturday.

The boat is idyllic and makes a perfect headquarters for a company like ours. The views are always changing. When we are not studying our spreadsheets or concocting new blends it is time to wander out onto the deck and check the level of the tidal waters.

We have a duck nesting on the deck and Liam our new parcelforce driver found us yesterday when we booked the first collection.

We will keep you updated about our adventure aboard and promise some photos, hopefully of baby ducklings, in future editions.

Offer to do some babysitting for someone with children.

They'll probably be very grateful of the opportunity to get out and may not have felt able to ask or afford to pay a babysitter. It's also a lovely opportunity to spend some time with children if you don't have any.

    Random Hugs
    .

Mayella, one of the wonderful people who help us out here at Today was Fun, has had a mad idea. She wants to give the world a hug.

It's called Random Huggers day and its happening on the 1 May 2004. Her idea is to reverse the trend of people randomly terrorising our world. She is going to randomly hug everyone instead.

"What happens if you hug someone who is secretly a terrorist?" Bonnie asked when she floated the idea. "He probably was someone who didn't get enough hugs from his mum in the first place and I would be a happy to oblige " Mayella replied.

Random huggers will begin their mission by hugging central London but hope that the idea will quickly spread. If you fancy a hug or want to become part of the Random Huggers team check out the link.

    Tea time
During the past couple of weeks we have been exceptionally busy with the move. There hasnt been a spare minute to put our aprons on and bake something for afternoon tea.

May we introduce you to Meg Rivers for such emergencies.

Meg Rivers make delicious, home- baked cakes and deliver them to your door. Their Lemon Heaven cake has the juice and zest from whole, fresh lemons and is based on a traditional Madeira cake recipe. They use only free-range eggs, English butter and organic flour.

For every Lemon Heaven cake the sold Meg Rivers will donate £5 to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

    send me a cake!
