We thought it was about time that we did something practical as well as drinkable about encouraging friendship. So, we put our thinking caps on, and came up with a genius plan:
Put 5p from every pack of Friendship Tea
sold straight into a Friendship Fund.
Sweep up all 5ps into a
Friendship Fund Mountain.
Donate Friendship Fund Mountain to someone we think is doing a great job helping people along with the whole Friendship thing.
   

Luckily, we managed to come across the perfect first recipient of our mountain – Contact the Elderly – who arranges tea parties across Britain for isolated and lonely elderly people. They do this thanks to fabulous volunteers, who give up their time to be drivers, and tea party hosts, and of course friends to their elderly guests.


On 3rd February 2008 we got baking and buttering, and launched the Friendship Fund by holding a Contact the Elderly tea party at our head-office. As you can see, we all had a great time!


So, next time you drink some of our Friendship Tea you can feel extra warm inside knowing that you’ve just added to our Friendship Fund, and helped give a hug to someone that doesn’t get them very often. Drink a cup a day and keep loneliness at bay!
